Simone Lindsay is soon to graduate from Kent State University and teaches for The Jam: CLT when she's in town. She is younger than you and cooler than you. She dances better than you and that's why you'll love her. Simone's class feels like you're in a real-time music video and she can make literally anyone feel like Beyonce. Go with it.
Jonathan Yeatts studied contemporary dance as well as classical ballet at both the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the North Carolina School of the Arts. After living, working, and dancing in several cities in North Carolina, he settled permanently in Charlotte in 2013. When he isn’t dancing up a sweat with The Jam, Jonathan works as a Realtor® and proudly serves the Charlotte and surrounding areas. He feels honored to be a part of the JAM FAM and is looking forward to a long lasting relationship with The Jam for many years to come.
Erica Butler has taught over 1,000 dance-fitness classes in the Greater Charlotte area. She discovered this means of exercise after gaining weight when she stopped sweating it out at the club every weekend! Erica hates the intimidation of a traditional gym environment so she creates a full-on dance party in every class. Erica separates herself from the industry with her cutting-edge dance styles and continuously updated playlists.
Gina Rhyne, aka Moody, can move. She’s danced since she was a child and discovered dance-inspired fitness in 2007. Moody started teaching The Jam five years ago and found an outlet for her love of hip-hop and soul. When asked why she teaches she says “I’ve truly found myself as an individual by being an instructor. It’s the part of me that gives me confidence, connects me to the community, and makes me completely happy.” Enough Said.
Lizzy Mills is a middle school special education teacher with an (adorable) new baby, so stress relief is a must. She loves THE JAM: CLT because it's that and so much more. No matter what happens during the day, everything feels better after 60 minutes of booty shaking with her girls! She's so happy to be able to share that feeling with others. (And she also not-so-secretly loves being the center of attention.)
Nadia Salem is our newest instructor in training but she’s not new to dance fitness! She’s taught around Charlotte for years and is a long time #JamFam member. When she’s not in black and white JAM gear, you can find her wearing literally every color at once, often with sparkles, making kids smile as a teacher. Which is why she’s our go-to instructor for Kids Jam.
Alicia Williams worked her way up from the back row as a participant all the way to the stage. She might be the..."wisest" member of the instructor team, but don't let that fool you. She works out hard to hip-hop and drops it like she's still in her--shhh! Alicia is the first teacher trained by Erica Butler in 2010 and she's also her fave. Dance with Alicia and let her be one of your favorites, too. AND OH by the way, she’s an amazing writer! Her debut novel, “Genesis Begins Again” was recently released to rave reviews.
Eric is our healthcare hero CNA while also in school to work in the radiology department. It's stressful and he counts on THE JAM: CLT as his one hour to enjoy himself and get away from it all. He, like many others (his baby age), grew up dancing in the shower to The Pussycat Dolls. That's the extent of his 'dance experience' but hey, sho did work. He discovered THE JAM: CLT through his healthcare co-worker friend and #JamFam member Sarah Walker. He came to slay and he came to stay. As an instructor he wants to share what he feels was given to him from THE JAM: CLT - expression, happiness, exercise, and a lot of fun.
